Hot on the heels of announcing their multi-year sponsorship with Zwift, new continental team, L39ION of Los Angeles, have announced their full team roster for 2021.
A total of seventeen riders will fill out the UCI Continental and USA Domestic Elite Squads for the Los Angeles based team, a ten man UCI Continental squad featuring recent additions Ty Magner and Freddy Ovett and a seven rider co-ed USA Cycling Domestic Elite squad anchored by Justin Williams and Kendall Ryan.
The Los Angeles based team have been making waves in the media lately for their stance in cycling, they’re a team born out of necessity, founded by Justin Williams and his brother Cory. Founded because neither Cory or Justin could get a fair paying job in the professional peloton, 11 x national track and road champion, Justin Williams created the team for change.
Wanting to put people of colour first, L39ION of Los Angeles has never backed away from stating what the team stands for, inclusion and diversity. L39ION also state that they’re not a men’s team and a women’s team but one singular team working together, their roster is as follows:
