Cycle clothing company Rapha successfully relaunched themselves with a fruitful relationship with then Team Sky, starting in 2013 and lasting for four years. Going on to win multiple Grand Tours as their kit sponsor until the arrival of Castelli in 2017. Sinbce then Rapha have gone on to form a partnership with Pro Cycling Team EF Education First and their stunning tie die inspired pink and purple kit.
Now, Rapha have teamed up with long standing outdoor clothing manufacturer Gore-Tex. It has been said that Gore-Tex make some of the best and most waterproof clothing, in the world so it seems a normal fit to bring that to cycling apparel, certainly with the winter months ahead.
Combining Gore’s lightest three-layer laminate ever and the standard bearing ShakeDryTM fabric with Rapha’s very own fit and construction expertise, they’ve created three fully waterproof, lightweight and breathable jackets. Designed for various terrains and the most extreme conditions.
With the Mens and women Pro Team jackets costing £220 and the insulated jacket costing £320, they also come with the now infamous Rapha price tag, it’s important to note Gore-Tex isn’t cheap either so it’s no wonder as to why the prices are high for this jacket.
